Loss of Speed
I was a school sprinter during my Primary and Secondary School days, however I went into a long hiatus due to injuries and disinterest in running circles around the track.
I was dismayed when I went for sprint relay selections in Uni and I found that I had lost my speed… However, I can run much longer distances nowadays. Perhaps there was a tradeoff?…

Baked Oysters
One of the indulgences I had after booking out from camp was to have a nice hot plate of baked oysters from Tampines Mall. Me and a bunch of recruit-mates had to go to Tampines MRT to take a train back home, so we would always drop by Tampines Mall for lunch.
Too bad the Baked Oyster stall is no longer there at the food court…

Saturday ball game
A bunch of my classmates, YL, IW, LFW, etc. used to get together every Saturday at the CPE (College of Physical Education) to play basketball. After hours of sweating it out in the morning, we would adjourn to the nearby A&W’s and indulge in some fried chicken. I remember once we even went to Serene Centre to gorge on cheeseburgers — think there was a $1 cheeseburger promo that Macs ran back then…
