Probably one of the first toys I received as a gift from a friend…

…was the Han Solo Star Wars figurine in arctic gear that I received during a kindergarten party. Think the party was for my birthday if I remember correctly. It was given by Dan Lim, whom I have as one of my Facebook contacts!

Thanks Dan! Think I still have the toy somewhere. :p

The kindergarten concert no-show

On the day when there was to be a kindergarten concert, my parents brought me to the hawker centre near “Kim To” for dinner. However, the timing was a bit off and we had to rush for the concert as I had to perform with my class.

We arrived slightly late and by the time we rushed to backstage, the entire class was already assembled on stage. I didn’t feel ready to perform so I just decided not to go on stage.

Seletar Reservoir Phototaking

One of the earliest memories I have is of my parents bringing me and my sister down to Seletar Reservoir for a photo-taking session. I can actually recall running around the place although nothing special at all happened that day. It was just a normal family outing.

It’s amazing how seemingly insignificant events like this — in the adult’s perspective — can actually somehow leave an impact on a child’s memory. I hope I can keep this in mind as I bring up my baby daughter. Something that is i think is seemingly insignificant may leave a deep imprint on her life somehow…
