On leave for today. Esh and I went to Olive Tree for her birthday cum our anniversary lunch. Somehow their buffet spread didn’t seem as good as the last time we attended (years ago…)

Just woke up. Went to bed immediately after dinner. Running a fever and my back aches…

Haven’t been to Raffles City for a long time
Found that the place has changed quite a lot. The iconic fountains in front of the bubble lifts are gone, and the place seems to have restructured somewhat. The Topshop/Topman was quite noticeable as it was at a prime location.
It was a good day. Esh found a dress that she could wear for her sister’s wedding dinner and we also finally got to try out the Japanese “Marche style” food court at the basement that we had been hearing about.
Bugis Bugis
Been a really long time since we last went to Bugis. Came here this time because Esh was looking for a dress to wear for her sister’s wedding. As we came straight from work, we didn’t have L-A with us. Kinda miss her… 🙂
We tried a few clothes shops but Esh couldn’t find anything suitable. In the end, she didn’t get anything and we settled for a hotpot dinner at Parklane (recommended by SIL). The prawns were outstandingly fresh!

While at a foodcourt for lunch, heard “The Reason” being played. Nice.
Feeding time
Both Esh and myself are in our car. We’re waiting for her parents and her maid to come back to the car while L-A is being fed.
Touch-me-nots “demo”ed to L-A
Esh found some mimosas while we were walking to a coffeeshop to enjoy a steaming bowl of laksa. She then proceeded to touch them with her sandals while showing how they closed upon contact to L-A. L-A seemed to be a bit curious about them.

Standing Around
Right now, I’m standing in front of a Home-Fix store where there’s a guy with a portable mic and speaker extolling the benefits of his portable steam cleaner. I’m just waiting for Esh and the maid to finish loading up the car with the groceries that we had bought from NTUC. Didn’t go with them as L-A was sleeping in the Baby Bjorn baby carrier that I was wearing.
