Clothes of a little fashionista
The first PC I owned was a 286 PC that had a dubious “Turbo” function that could speed up from 8MHz to 36MHz. Putting that aside, it was a PC that I was quite happy with as it could handle DOS 4.0 with ease. IIRC, it came with a humongous 20MB HDD. I can’t remember exactly how much RAM it came with though… Must be some pathetically small amount by today’s standards.
This marked the beginning of my gaming life. I can still recall that fateful day when my mum brought me to Lucky Plaza and bought an Atari 2600. Of course, I had no idea what that device was supposed to do, but once it was set up at home I just couldn’t get my hands off it!
Quite a few cartridges were bought and it was a great source of entertainment. It served my family well until it was called into retirement when we purchased an NES.
When I was young and staying at my Grandma’s, I joined them in praying to the Taoist deities. In a strange twist, I was enrolled in a church kindergarten.
Whenever I stepped into the chapel, I was always wondering if there was a fight in heaven between the Taoist deities and Jesus…
The moment I stepped back home after my business trip to Bangalore, it was quite evident that L-A missed me as she was so happy to see me and was eager to give me a hug! That was a good feeling… 🙂
My ex-company sponsored my certifications for the SCJP and the SCWCD (Sun Certified Java Programmer and Sun Certified Web Component Developer) as there was a government scheme called CITREP that allowed for them to claim the costs of the course. However, to get the maximum rebate, I had to pass the exams!
The exams were not exactly a piece of cake as many of the questions required thinking like a compiler! I had to spend lotsa lotsa time studying just to pass these exams…
