Went to this coffeeshop near YL’s place to try the zi char. It was recommended in the papers or something. Tried the food there but it was nothing special. Bumped into ABC there as well. He later told me that the zi char was gonna close down due to increasing coffeeshop rental. No big loss…
Editing Sharepoint 2003 Lists using Microsoft Excel
Sharepoint may be a useful collaboration portal for people involved in a project to work together, but certain functions are still quite clunky. Not sure if it wasn’t setup properly by the company’s IT Infrstructure team or if its just MS software being wonky, but the “Edit in Datasheet” button that is available for all Sharepoint lists does not work properly. Whenever it is clicked, there is an error stating that something is wrong about ActiveX or that a compatible application is not installed.
What to do? It can be quite a pain to manage lists through the UI especially if you have to consolidate information and copy-and-paste information between spreadsheets. Typing in each new row one-by-one is an option only for those with great patience and a huge amount of time. Thankfully, I managed to work out one way…
First of all, export the list to a spreadsheet. You will be given a file with the extension .iqy. Open this file using Microsoft Excel and your list’s data will appear. You can make any changes you like to this list, but instead of clicking on Save, you right-click on the sheet, go to Lists/Synchronise Lists. This will automagically update the list on Sharepoint!

Meeting ex-colleague for lunch
Just got on the bus to meet HY for lunch at the hawker centre nearby.

While on my way walking to the coffeeshop to buy dinner before going to MPS, I came to this small flight of stairs just outside the multi-storey car park. There was this stupid guy sitting on the steps and I had to make a slight detour around him.

Aquamarine
We made a trip to Aquamarine to try out the lunch buffet. Had a nice cup of coffee after the stomach-bursting meal.
We were so full that we had to take a walk. While Esh stopped by at Mothercare, her Dad and I brought Lee-Ann to look at the fish in the aquarium
One of the last stops was at Mango. It was quite a challenging day as it was the first time we made use of the pram. I just found out that it was a big challenge to bring a pram down the escalator. I had to struggle a bit, while Esh left the pram behind after unsuccessfully trying to manouevre the pram properly!
Money money money
Still in a rush to meet the guy to buy the vouchers. I’m queueing up to withdraw money from the DBS ATM in front of the Tang’s food mart now…
